Full written post / accessibility read

A beautiful approval screen says Active. It is fast, usable and covered by happy-path tests. In the proposed fixture, nobody has yet checked what Active means for a customer with later history.

Move below the badge. The event timeline shows approval in March, then revocation in April. Both records are real facts. Only the effective policy tells us which one governs today.

The test should read the displayed status, the event sequence and the entitlement service that actually permits access. An ambiguous old record should remain unknown until an owner resolves it.

Require owner-labeled historical cases with effective dates and a service readback. Do this because a compelling interface becomes trustworthy only when its label matches the authority behind the action.
