The UI can look normal while showing an older decision.

Capture event, version, read path and promised freshness window.

Write the permitted stale window before comparing designs.

Full written post / accessible read

Ask two models how to keep an agent-driven dashboard current and you may get several clean designs. That is valuable. Before choosing, make each proposal predict what happens when a source update races an old cached answer.

In this illustrative cache case, a permission is revoked, then a cached view still shows access. Each design has a different explanation: missed invalidation, wrong version, or an allowed stale window. More debate cannot tell you which one happened without the source record and timestamp.

Create a disposable revocation fixture. Record the source commit time, emitted event ID, cache version and every visible read until the promised deadline. Run the same fixture under all three designs. A missed event, wrong version and tolerated stale window leave distinct traces.

If access must disappear immediately, a time-bound cache may not qualify. If seconds are acceptable, simpler routing may win. Put the deadline and negative control in CI, then let agents implement the chosen design. Do this because architecture is a decision about required behavior, not a vote between renderings.
